Just because we are parents doesn't mean we're saints with unlimited patience and no emotions ourselves.
The other day we were at a local market which happens to have goats on the roof. We stopped to look at one along with a group of other people. I looked up at the goat then looked down and she was in the middle of the small road walking on the yellow line. I asked her to come back and she kept walking toward the main highway!! I kept walking towards her asking her to stop while she kept walking toward the highway. I knew if I ran for her she'd just run away from me into the traffic. (the whole group of people were watching and one guy started running for her).
By this point I yelled at her with a very shaky and desperate voice " L Please stop" and I really meant the please. Thank goodness I made it to her and scooped her up just in time. I was able to stay calm and sit her down and talk to her, but she could hear my shaky voice and tried to just brush it off.

That was terrifying and although I stayed calm in the moment I had a good little cry afterward!Montessori Beginningshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10326059314563267510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6535558816784279102.post-86443586753333906342010-06-30T22:48:27.116-04:002010-06-30T22:48:27.116-04:00You are definitely NOT alone.
