Felt Objects for language materials?

Calling all Montessori Mamas and Papas and teachers out there and otherwise Crafty peeps: Does anyone know a link of someone or a company who might be able to provide me with felt objects? I have a project in the works and want to support my stories with language objects but I want them to be made of felt so that they are durable, non-toxic and toddler friendly. I've been searching the blog land and the web in general and have come up with nothing so far.
PLEASE help, time is of the essence and it's getting close to not happening. which would be so very disappointing. As soon as I can, I will post photos of the needed objects, I have made one set for each story but I don't have the time to make as many as we need for the AMS conference. ...in MARCH!!!
AHHHHHHH!!!!!
Many Thanks!
Jennifer

I have tried Etsy but no one will write me back. :(
Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I don't know. I need felt objects the size of the palm of my hand, 2D is fine, the items I need are:
pan, hat, bat, rat, fan, can, jar of jam, mop, etc. you get the idea....
we have found some of these items very easily at a doll house shop locally but they want $2.00 for a mini fry pan about the size of my pinky finger! That's not going to work because we need the items to be safe for all ages.
If you know of a particular site please let me know. Thanks so much.

I'll help.

You say they can be either 2D or 3D? Do you prefer one over the other? Do you mind if I use the cheap felt? That's what I have.

e-mail me the details: evenspor(at)gmail(dot)com

Hi,
You might try the Waldorf
community. There are alot
of crafters on the Waldorf
side of things and they make
some really cute felt objects.
Some of these are on Etsy,
that is true. You might
be able to put up a request
there and have someone custom
make your materials for you
for a reasonable price.
Handmade objects from real wool
felt is so Waldorfian! You could
probably find bulk felt there as
well and die cut your pieces or
create or buy patterns.

I could probably make them, I have wool blend felt, I don't like the other stuff, I just use that for messy sticking crafts!

Hi there! I've been a fan of your blog for ages now, but I think this is my first time commenting. :)

I saw some felt language manipulatives on Montessori n Such: http://montessori-n-such.com/detail.aspx?ID=330
I have their catalog and there are at least 7 sets of these, though the website isn't showing all of them.

Not sure if this is what you had in mind, I hope this helps. :)

I do have some felt vegetable that I had created to go with the the "Stone Soup" story. I'll see if I can find them. Also I had some three letter objects for short vowel works It was long time ago when I used to teach Montessori. I'll check with you again if I can find them. It is always fun to come to your blogspot. Best wishes. Dita

I don't know how you made yours (or how many you need), but one relatively quick and easy way to make nice-looking, durable pieces is to find free clip art, size it accordingly, and print the color images out using t-shirt transfer paper instead of regular paper. Then iron the clip art that was printed out on the transfer paper onto a large piece of felt. Finally, cut out with small, sharp scissors. No artistic effort is needed and the results will look good. You can also use black and white images and color them in with fabric markers once they have been ironed on. Might be easier to make the felt pieces yourself since you just need basic pictures that are readily available than to find someone to do it. Good luck.
