Happy Spring!
(above: a sideways picture of our birthday walk mat from a child's 2nd birthday celebration)
Our Whole System:
Small as is our whole system compared with the infinitude of creation,
Brief as is our life compared with the cycles of time,
We are so tethered and all by the beautiful dependencies of law,
That not only the sparrow's fall is felt to the uttermost bound but the vibrations set in motion by the words that we utter
that reach through all space and the tremor is felt through all time.

I love your birthday walks!! they are so great. If I ever work in a classroom again, this will be a MUST.
Happy spring to you, too! Thank you for the lovely poem.
The birthday walk mat is so pretty. My kids walk around a candle, holding a globe. I had never thought to create a representation of the seasons. I may have to do this for the next birthday!
Thank you for your comments! I am presently working on a new four seasons mat. For those of you new to the blog please search this blog for more info about the birthday mat. On a previous post about it, I included the song we sing and the way we use it in the toddler classroom. Enjoy.
Hi there! If you ever find some time, please consider a tutorial for this beautiful seasons mat. I love it!
Hugs from PR
