A Work in PROCESS...

Because the image moved me, I snapped a photo of a child admiring a leaf. Next thing I know I'm sketching this

and then creating this
and then making changes...

I am happy with the details of the skirt and hair but not sure about the back ground color. Please share your thoughts.

Oh how I love your paper art! This is beautiful. I think it is more striking on the blue background. I miss you now that school has started back and we're all so busy!. I hardly get on for "pleasure" anymore. I used your fall suncatcher craft with my class and they turned out beautiful. Also, I don't know if I ever told you but after reading about the go now in peace on your front page, I started singing that to my children at the end of each session right before we let the parents in for pick up. It brings peace and calm to a hectic time and sends the little ones off with a blessing. We are a Christian school so our version is may God's light and love surround you everywhere... Thanks for reminding me of that sweet song.

this is absolutely beautiful and captures the moment of exploration wonderfully. I'd try a warm coloured background that still contrasts with the colours of the child.

thank you for a lovely blog.

I love it. I think the green brings out the orange nicely and makes the whole think pop better than it did on the blue. Nice work.

I like it a lot! You have fantastic talent! What about having the background color be more of a golden to represent a fall sky?
We really enjoy your blog and all of you creative ideas! Keep up the good work!

That's amazing! I like it better without the grass, though. I would like to see her "floating" on a single color rather than anchored by the grass. You are so talented!

So pretty! I love the grass on the bottom, and both hair colors, although I'm partial to the black since it's more striking. Lovely image. the details of the skirt are beautiful

It's stunning. It reminds me of Japanese Anime. Gorgeous. I like seeing the decision making process. I approve of your additions!
